SOUTH COASTAL COUNTIES LEGAL SERVICES, INC. (SCCLS) is a non-profit corporation which provides free civil legal services to low-income and elderly residents of our communities. Our main offices and outreach locations serve clients in Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Nantucket, and Plymouth Counties, and the towns of Avon and Stoughton.

Our mission is to achieve equal justice for the poor and disadvantaged through community based legal advocacy.

SCCLS provides free civil legal services in the areas of housing law, family law, government benefits including social security disability, elder law, education law, and consumer law. SCCLS has staff who are fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. SCCLS can provide other translation services when needed to assist non-English speaking clients.

Pursuant to the policies of the Legal Services Corporation with respect to Disclosure of Information (45 CFR 1619)  and SCCLS adoption of said policy/procedure, you are hereby notified that you may access the LSC Act, LSC rules and regulations at; should you wish to access SCCLS' written policies, procedures, and guidelines, and the names and addresses of the members of its governing body, you may do so by sending an email to Jeanne Marcotte, Assistant to the Executive Director at or by calling  her at 774-488-5942.
