Pro Bono Spotlight
Attorney Michael Castner
In the world of law, there are those who pursue their careers for personal gain and those who dedicate their skills to making a real difference in the lives of others. One such individual is Attorney Michael Castner, a volunteer attorney who has been an unwavering pillar of support for SCCLS clients for decades. His story is one of selfless dedication, compassion, and service—values that transcend his legal expertise and have earned him the heartfelt admiration of many. Attorney Castner has devoted his legal career to exclusively representing clients who otherwise might not have fair access to the justice system. His work with SCCLS has been focused in the areas of family law and housing. He is a constant presence in the Pro Se Family Law Workshop and his commitment to clients is unwavering.
Attorney Castner received his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law. He also enjoyed a distinguished 25-year engineering career at Raytheon. His clients, colleagues, and the community are all testament to the fact that Attorney Castner has built a legacy not on titles or recognition, but on the real, tangible differences he’s made in the lives of those who needed him most. SCCLS is grateful for Attorney Castner’s dedication to pro bono representation.
